Mountain Ash

This is what the tree looks like in the fall beautiful purple leaves. There are no blooms or berries on the tree. This is what is does for the 17 years I've lived here. I have it pruned every 2 years and the Arborist tells me it's a mountain ash???? The only thing we have done is treat it for the Emerald Ash bore that's on its way here.
