I've been using 'Sluggo' which seems to work real well as a repellent. There is also all kinds of things on constant 'slug patrol' hungry birds, possums & raccoons. They'll actually turn over logs, rocks and follow the slime trail for those big fat juicy slugs. Bon Appetite!
