I've put these to work in vegetable garden to draw in the bees.

Well, that's definitely going to work! They adore them don't they. I have Borage, which does the same job for the Bees.

Never heard of 'Bill & Ben' interesting idea.
Karen: I find sunflowers work 'no fail' to draw in pollinators all day long, especially the kind with multiple blooms. They'll find my tomatoes & peppers & I leave the sunflower seeds for the goldfinches.

Bathgate, Sunflowers are special to me because of my childhood. But I have never made a habit of growing them. Perhaps I should change that, but I would always be looking at their backs as my garden faces south!

I would give it a go Karen, especially with the newer varieties. They have multiple blooms facing all directions. These must have come from my bird feeder. I didn't actually plant them myself.
