Ampelopsis brevipedunculata 'Elegans' - 2018 (Ampelopsis brevipedunculata 'Elegans')

I grow this climber for its foliage, but right now it has tiny green flowers which are very attractive to bees. Later there will be purple berries (in a good year). Like clematis, it prefers its roots in the shade and head in the sun. Websites suggest it dies to the ground in winter - certainly it drops its leaves, but will shoot again from the old growth if not cut to the ground. Attaches to its support by tendrils, which work well if the host is another plant, but not so well if grown on a structure or trellis.
