This was a small ball shaped cactus until I re potted it. The original size is indicated by the "waist". I thought I had jeopardised it when I saw those "stretch marks" which seemed to indicate a lack of water. I thought I had put it under too much stress in moving it when it was producing flowers. The first four flowers dropped off as soon as I moved it.

It does not have any babies Bjs. The "stem" under the flower falls off with the flower when the flower dies. We are amazed at how well it has done this year. I chucked it outside to take its chances when we were having the kitchen redecorated in preparation for the new cooker. It did rain a couple of times but it did not seem to do it any harm.

Strange for it to grow like that. They are usually globe shaped.
