Yes it is I put sticks around the edge and middle spaces of my pots that squirrels like to invade.

That is a good idea but I do not think it would put the mice off. I think it is more likely to be mice at this time of year. If the squirrels take a bulb in flower they usually take the whole lot.

How about wrapping chicken wire above the height and around the pot. Yes the squirrels took mine a few years back they were in a bowl.

Yes it is. Don't forget to wear gloves as the chicken wire scratch s your hands.
