Moraea alticola - 2019

Iris relative from South Africa, hardy enough for the UK (it grows in mountains in the wild). Takes dry positions in full sun, or moister conditions in part shade. Two and a half feet tall, it can form quite a large clump when happy (mine needed dividing after just four years). Best at the back of a border where it can die down in peace
