Now,for something completely different. (Dioscorea mexicana)

Dioscorea mexicana. Related to Yams and what is a semi desert plant or areas with low rainfalls..but tropical scrub woodlands. It was on my bucket list for years. Internet friend came through!
Its a vine. I'm not sure if it evergreen or deciduous. I think it depends on the rains. Good years in habitat it stays green, things get drought like..it returns to its turtle shell.

It's a wonder that these plants and reptiles- Tortoises- would both use this same design to deal with arid climates.
Convergent evolution can be awesome!

Like the Horseshoe Crab that's how they have survived. I have evolved Stan as people who have no wisdom teeth have evolved and I have never had wisdom teeth.

About 25 years ago I knew a tall thin blond woman who was very pretty also. She told me she had wisdom teeth removed and that "It accentuated her high cheekbones". I never did ask her if that was a result or she had it done for that?
Susan was her name.
Took me time..but I came up with something!
