They also detest being moved. I moved my golden one and thought it was dead, but its recovering now...after 2 years! I’d have been quicker replacing it, but couldn’t get the same variety. I had to prune off dead stems, but now its coming back...phew!

Now I moved a couple in winter and they were fine, in fact, one I dug up and didn’t plant for about a week! I did cut them right back though, back to three feet tall again. S Sutherland gold is pretty dead though, the third to die so no more, love it too.
