It really is a stunner!

Thanks Karen and Meadow. It's growing in the centre of a large mat of lily-of-the-valley. (along with a large Actea rubra.) they pick their own place.

thanks Amy, if you look at bottom of the fold you will see the seeds developing. they turn bright red and the cowl falls off..leaving a red studded spathe of seeds. such an interesting plant in all it's facets.
