Awwww... she's a cutie! Nice atmospheric effect there. Rhy is great company and has so much energy it makes me feel young just looking at him cavorting. Our morning walk is one of the highlights of my day. I bet she's a snuggler?

Yes too cute for her own good! When I got her nearly 3 years ago she wasn't socialized with other dogs and very aggressive but she's a lot better now. It was hard work for both of us but we've got such a strong bond now and she's my best mate! I couldn't imagine my life without her. She's about 8 and a half yrs old but still goes like the clappers 😅 A real delight and such a snuggler !

Can you tell me how you went about socialising her with other dogs please? Our JRT is terrible. We recently took her to meet a dog sitter who has an old Labrador. Molly barked for over an hour at the poor old dog...until she literally lost her bark! It was embarassing!

We've had Rhyot for a year and a half.. he's a really good boy, and had a bit of a rough start. He wouldn't say boo to a goose! ..until recently. He's started barking! Hub thinks he's finally realized that this is his place and he will defend it. I think he's realized this is home. makes me feel very happy for him.
Will Molly be staying with the sitter..or did she blow that one? JRTs can be a little stubborn, like most terriers. I'm not sure what to suggest. Is there a dog park near you?

Lori, there are plenty of places with lots of dogs. It all started when she was a puppy and she was so friendly. I took her to socialisation class at the Vet surgery and she was a bit scared and would hide in the corner a bit because she was so much smaller than the other puppies, but nothing serious. Then when out walking one day on a country lane, a massive German Shepherd came careering toward us...no leash, no owner anywhere in sight and I was really scared as it was barking and quite energetic. I was brought up with GS and now what they can be like. Anyway, Molly was jumped on (thankfully the owner called the dog off pretty quickly in the end) and she was obviously terrified and ever since that day she has behaved very aggressively toward strange dogs. I was so worried when we brought Willow home that she would attack her...but no, she behaved as though Willow was her puppy which was funny because Willow was bigger than her from day 1. But she really does love playing with Willow, and she tolerated our wider family's dogs too when they visit. But in the street she is an absolute embarrassment and a nightmare. I don't suppose there will ever be any change now. She's 13. Luckily our Son is going to come and look after them when we go on holiday, so for now the problem is solved. :)

Thanks Resi! Our usual Dog sitter is excellent with her. Says she just says ‘Be Nice and Molly behaves! Wish I had these powers!

She's a spunky little girl... and smart too because she recognizes the extended family and mothers them. Another habit of small dogs is they have no concept of their size. "who cares if he's a mastif...let me at him!"

Exactly Lori. Yes, she is a real character. But if a big dog behaved like her...nightmare!
