A closeup of the flowers on this. Not really taken close - I had to use a telephoto lens since these flowers are around 15' above the ground.

Same here in timing Wiley. Similar climates and day lengths too I guess is a factor. The one in the empty lot next door is a seedling from my original tree that died long ago. The flowers on the seedlings are not quite as pink as the nursery tree was.
One down the street is outstanding full of blooms..pinker too.
There is a new cultivar called "Rosifoila" something like that and the blooms are nearly red. Like a hardy Delonix.
