Hardy Hibiscus

Thanks Kate. I have this growing as a hedge between me and the neighbor. One of those carefree shrubs I don't do anything to except pruning. They come in all sorts of colors. I think the pure white one is my favorite. I love how the white flowers glow, especially at night if there's a full moon. - take a look on Google.

Just had a look on google. Wonderful looking as a hedge!
Very pretty indeed! I didn’t realise the hypericum was related (?) to the rose of sharon? I spotted it while looking on google. It was when I spotted the yellow variety. I thought, yes, I have this on my bund hill. Given to me a couple of years ago. Am I right in saying they are related?

They may very well be related but my knowledge is limited. Eileen would be the one to ask. Her handle is Seaburngirl and she's usually in the Q&A section. St. John's Wort is heavily used in the Psychiatry profession as an anti-depressant. I don't know if it actually works.

Thanks Bathgate. I’ve liaised with Eileen previously. We both live in the same county too!
I’ve heard of St. John’s Wort and it being used for depression. I’m not aware either if it’s effective?

Lovely flowering hibiscus. I’ve never tried to grow this, although, it’s quite tempting as I mentioned to Amy. Pretty shade of pink!
