Its a very pretty cultivar Kate. I'll be keeping an eye out for this one. Would look lovely on my pond stones.

How tall is it please Kate?

Have a look at S. hidakanum. Dorset perennials sell it. I think it might be that.

Hi Karen, it does look quite pretty in the garden. It’s around 7 inches tall. Mid green coloured leaves. I looked at the hidakanum, but not sure it is this one..may be hylotelephium spectabile? Not sure at all, I’ll have to ask next time. Sorry I can’t be definite Karen.

Hi Kate... that's outstanding! the blue green leaves look other worldly... whatever it's name, it looks like a keeper!

Thanks Lori! Yeah, it’ll frustrate me not knowing..I’ll endeavour to find out! :)

Me too...lets try to find out! :)

Sounds like a plan! coincidentally I found a picture of it on a local gardening forum... the posting member didn't know it's name either and had received it as a "share" from a neighbour. So it's here in Canada too. Is this a race? lol...

:))
Lori/Karen, I think that this sounds a good idea! Amazing how no one seems to really know what the variety is no matter where we are!!!!!
The clock is ticking...

I've tried hard, but am stumped! I think I'll have to give up and admit defeat.....it's not like me to be stumped by a plant ID either. But there are so many and they look so different in different pics. But an upright growing one to only 7"...hard to find. :) Hope you have more success Kate x

The nearest I have found so far is called 'pure joy'.

20 Aug, 2019

Hi Karen, snap! I was looking at “pure joy” and “autumn joy”. Quite similar flowers, close up. Especially the former like you said. There were several others, but I was getting quite demented looking through the gazillion varieties.
Thanks for your patience! X

Autumn Joy is much taller Kate, even though it says on some sites it is not, it actually grows to over a foot high.

I found one in my garden today looking a lot loke this. ‘lime zinger’. But its got a red tinge on the leaf. But that might be the colder climate here. Its not flowering yet though...so hard to tell if its the same flower.

Had another look...no definitely not Lime Zinger.

Oh bless, Karen! This sedum is definitely stumping us! There are so many varieties. I’ll have to try to get a hold of the person who gifted it to me..
Thanks x

I found mention of a S. Seiboldiae October Daphne with blue leaves but can't find an image of it. It sound like it might be a candidate as it's 6 inches tall... found a pic but not in bloom... leaves too gray. sorry... I struck out on this one.
I'll keep looking... put a post on the local gardening forum because I couldn't find the post I was looking for... no time to keep looking today.. company's coming.

Bless! Lori I do apologise for making this difficult! I appreciate your dogged determination! :))

Thanks Lori! :)

We shall get to the bottom of this Karen! ;))

I wonder......maybe with the help of the friend who gave it to you we have a chance! :) It's such a lovely one, worth knowing its name.

I agree... ;-)
