Although hardy to -10C, this sun-loving shrub needs a sheltered position out of cold winds. Mature size around six feet and and spread. Beloved of butterflies, bees and other pollinators

I'm going to Google it Andrew ,does it take a long time to grow ? since moving to this garden last year I'm trying to buy trees and shrubs that are already a decent size .
I'm afraid I planted my Amicia zygomeris in the wrong place it droops badly in the sun I'm constantly watering it I thought I had lost it once when we were away ... I'll move it again once its died down for the winter ..

I bought mine from Burncoose. They send out decent sized plants so it should give a reasonable display in about three years. I now prune it hard to a framework every spring, just as growth starts, in order to train it back against the trellis in the photo. It needs full sun

Hi I haven’t logged on for ages, what’s this beautiful shrub called? I would love to try it in my sunny border.

Sarah - it's vitex agnus-castus. You will not find it in ordinary Garden Centres but specialist nurseries may have it. Failing that, mine cane from Burncoose Nursery in Cornwall who offer mail order
