Thanks all , do you freeze yours Sue ? I don't like them from frozen but i'm putting a lot in the freezer they will go in casseroles in the winter .
I like them just plain boiled Paul but still firm to eat plenty of black pepper and a smidgen of butter ...

I like them frenched... they get tough if not harvested at their peak. Mandy used to come with me to the garden to get a bean to chew on... she'd lay in the cool aegopodium and munch. Ryot prefers carrots but I started my carrots late so not much to be had at present and we're getting close to our first frost. I started late and it seems the summer was shorter... two strikes. the third will probably be an early killing frost that stops everything..even the second crop peas.

Oh Dear Lori that's a short season , do you manage to put provisions away for the winter ( freezing ,bottling etc. )
Strange how dogs like carrots a friends dog use to go into the donkey field and pinch them from under the donkeys nose ...

Dogs like peas too, but too much makes them gassy!

Keep the dog on a lead and tie it to a fence to stop it floating away :o))
