Amy - I haven't, but I do get a few seedlings each year, probably due to the birds eating them

Really thats good news for you , I didn't find any seedling but then my shrub was planted in the lawn perhaps the seeds didn't reach good soil .. my new one here is in gravel ..

My seedlings were nowhere near the original plant

I'll be keeping my eyes open Andrew ,did you manage to grow the seedling on ?

I didn't try. I have no room for another one in the garden, and we have trouble selling shrubs at plant sales. I think people have small gardens now and are worried that shrubs will get big and need constant cutting back

I know its a shame , I have to be very careful in my choices since we've downsized ...

how big does it get? it is very unusual.

Cornus kousa is a very variable plat in terms of size. This is a more compact form, growing about eight feet tall but only three to four wide. It came from Junker's Nursery in Somerset via mail order. Karan, the owner, is very happy to conduct conversations via e-mail to ensure you get a suitably sized plant for your position
