porch August 10

porch August 10

I had one long ago in the spring, just adding that contrast photo. I'm a little sad to be feeling the autumn blues so soon.

Thanks. Hoping for a turn of weather so it can get even fuller.

That Looks Lovely

Lol, I'm way up here, Marguerite..lol. I collect rainwater off the roof for summer watering and bring water from town for indoors. Plumbing freezes easy so many haul water here. House is just regular logs, little strips of insulation between each to stuff the cracks. We have normal flies, but 27 varieties of mosquito. Month of June can be tough. Our Caribou herd migration is started by mosquito masses some say...lol. I like to say I live in a selerium. I run a 400 watt high pressure sodium bulb from the house center beam and run fountains to keep the house moist. Spring and fall I am almost pushed out by my passion. I understand what your saying, I will be visiting your pages throughout winter, dreaming of sun and warmth...lol. I'm just 6 miles from town, so I'm not too isolated...lol. I'm moving in so more indoor pics are to come and my winter bloomers and prop experiments. :-)

I asked you about not having running water on another of your photos - but here's the answer! I can't imagine your life. I know I am too soft for what you cope with - I am often cold, as I am today, so what I.would do in Alaska, I really do not know!
