Melianthus Major flower bud

Nice photo. Looks very unusual & exotic at this stage.

The plant is huge Ff when these flowers shoot up they grow very tall and the bees love them ..

It definitely does look quite exotic at this stage. Great detail in the close up.

We cut ours right down this Spring.....it was too big for its allowed space...so not sure whether we will get any flowers this year....
