Join the club Bjs. The ones I have in pots at the front door have never had flowers or fruit but the really ancient one in the garden sheds fruits all over part of the drive. The blackbirds and thrushes love those berries but will not feed on the fallen fruit for some strange reason. They eat the fallen apples.

Yes I did send you the berries Brian I always understood the two I had to be Yews but they could have had the wrong labels on them I didn't keep labels from my last garden when we moved anyway I'm thrilled you managed to get them to grow , well done you x

Brian , I've managed to find my old record book and the date I sent the berries to you was 14/1/13 .. that's not bad having a lovely specimen like that in 7 years ,well done .. . you will know which date to sow more berry seeds if you want more in the future .. I would love some but I don't think I can wait that long Lol x

Senior moment Bjs? I think you have Taxus baccata fastigiata which is a great plant as it does so well in a pot or can be grown on as a hedge. It can be pruned to keep it small in the pot but can be grown in to a tall hedge. It is also one of the evergreens which do regenerate unlike the leylandii which, once a branch is gone, it is gone. That one is a great shape.
