Begonia sutherlandii - 2020 (Begonia sutherlandii)

You might get away (like me) with growing this in a very sheltered position where it remains fairly dry in the winter. It really needs lots of moisture to grow well; in drier conditions it only appears in late August. Or you can grow it in a shady hanging basket, drying off the tuber and keeping it frost free over winter

Thank you, Andrew. Now I know how to overwinter the one in my hanging basket. I've had it in other seasons but never pulled it through!

I had one in the ground under the beech tree for 8 yrs until the winter of 2011 killed it off.

I really must get a replacement.
