I grew a few potato plants this year. I just love the blossoms on the plant. This picture was taken over the summer. The plants are dried up now and we dug them up, we didn't get a lot of potatoes this year not sure why, we usually get more. That's ok its all part of gardening.

Thank-you Kate, does the solanum crispum glasnevin plant produce potatoes too?

Hi Lilybell, the one I have doesn’t produce any potatoes, it flowers beautifully with tiny lilac purple blooms which have a deep orange yellow centre. It’s quite hardy here too. It has tiny black berries which are toxic. My friend has the pretty potato plant like yours, she did have a lot of produce this year, but sadly, the potatoes were quite bland..
The other name for mine is called the Chilean potato vine. :-)
