Our place looks more like a lumber yard. Lots of branch chipping and log piles.

It will take time but you'll get there :)

That's understandable, you'd put a lot of work into your garden and I'm sure I'd feel the same.

Looks like you have some nice weather.

I feel your disappointment, Klahanie, it must feel such a loss seeing your lovely trees reduced to chips. At least there will be a positive benefit from it, that's something. Hopefully some of your shattered plants will make a recovery. Good luck!

I'm so sorry about your loss Klahani. Sounds like the storm took a heavy toll.

Not great here either. Lots of freezing rain and cold with occasional dump of snow. There is always something coming this way it seems.

I think you’ve had a pretty rough time, what with covid and then this horrific storm. I have to agree with the others, you will definitely get there, it does take time I appreciate this, but, you have to take a day at a time. It’s horrible to lose such well established nurtured plants and trees in a blink of an eye. Thankfully you’ve been able to recycle the wood into chippings. The climate and the weather is changing quickly and not for the best. All the floods and damage, forest fires and hurricanes..it’s hard to keep the faith at times.
So, keep your chin up as we say and keep positive. It’s very difficult, but, you will soon see progress and buds blooming again soon. X

What a disaster to loose so many established trees, I would be devastated. Maybe the remaining plants will enjoy a little more space and light. That's me trying to be positive.

Are they from the trees that were damaged in the snow ? It's good that you can make use of them.
