yes it is a teasel. It will produce a 4-6ft flower spike!

I grew it from seed years ago for the birds. It was an enthusiastic seeder-abouter! I loved it but wasn't keen on the teeny-tiny prickles..

It is going by the leaf and as Ange says a good self seeder.

You might have trouble moving it when it gets its root down.
