This is my new favorite vegetable, romanesco. It is more tender, and tastes better than both broccoli and cauliflower.

This will turn into flowers eventually just like broccoli etc.
I tried last years uneaten cabbage and its flowers last weekend. Not convinced they were that good. Looked good on the plate but not so good on the palate ;o)

That is a healthy looking plant.
I have seen them in the supermarket but they are more expensive than broccoli/cauli and didnt know what they taste like. I might give it a go if it is better.
