Beautiful companion planting, Julia. I just love the colours together! I bet the rose has a very intoxicating scent!

That's a whopper of a clematis. I love this colour combination, too. I think with the late season it seems not uncommon as there are lots of 'unseasonal' mixes. My large-flowered clematis are at least a month later.
