Front middle border very full.

Front middle border very full.

I can see the changes I will have to make in the Autumn....nearly every plant has notches taken out by some attacking insect....the only one not affected is the Achillea which has a very strong smell.

Yep, everything grazed or nibbled: privet hedge ravaged by vine weevil (never had the little blighters in that before - cost a fortune for nematodes), rubeckia, roses, most herbaceous. I despair this year. Really fallen out of love with it all. OH and I practically ripped out half the garden and still going.. (Sorry for rant, you've touched a nerve, Meadow!)

I think there is a Leafcutter Bee in my garden as some Roses have semi-circular notches in them. Every morning, come rain or shine, there is at least one fat slug slithering along the path . . . :o(
