One of many seen on my frequent canal walks. This is a male the female is white with grey/blue features which I’m yet to capture with my camera as I’m just not fast enough.

Very pretty capture, Cariad. Sounds like quite a serene walk along the canal too! Lots of interest no doubt.

Thank you Kate I am guilty of enjoying photography too only in the beginning stages as I am with gardening really if you can’t already tell lol. I’m interested in foraging too I recently purchased a book to make sure I don’t kill myself in the process :) the canal seems the perfect place to start.

We saw our first 2 Orange Tips while in Devon last week. We've been leaving shed doors and windows open so 'our' butterflies can escape after their winter slumber. Good capture, Cariad.

I think it's so warm now most of them have flown, but early on there's always one or two fluttering at the garage window trying to escape..

I can imagine it’s a nice surprise to see them in there though.

:) I thought so too, Thanks Klahanie. The abundance of wildlife along the canal fascinates me.
