In front of the front windows

In front of the front windows (Rosa rampacante Guinee)

Rosa Guinee has the most wonderfully scented flowers, but the blooms are so heavy they tend to droop if they get rained on.
The Iris are in a semi circular border in front of the lounge window.

I like the very cheerful colour mix.

After the rain all today, everything looks a bit droopy. Ive taken off the spent Iris flowers so hopefuly if its nice tomorrow, more will open.
I made Blackcurrant jam instead, fruit from the allotment in the freezer.

Fingers crossed. Bet it tastes lovely, I use to love having jam sandwiches when I was a child. I managed to do a little planting this morning before the rain then knocked all the plaster off in the dining room ready for when we get the kitchen diner done.

Ooh, blackcurrant jam Siris - lovely! Makes a good tea if you have a cough too. Cariad I still eat bread and jam quite often...

:) I have it on toast but not had it in a sandwich for a very long time, I definitely will next time I get some now though.
I’ll have to remember that about the blackcurrant tea, I’m always buying herbal and fruit teas, I have peppermint tea daily to help with digestion. If there is a natural alternative with no side effects, why not :)

I have a large teaspoon of blackcurrant jam with some plain yoghurt, yummy.
