Grasses are coming to the fore now. This one needs good drainage to get it through a typical British winter. Can be divided in spring but you'll need something like an axe to split it as it makes a solid rootball

Yes it is. All the grasses are coming into their own now, but the pennisetums make the boldest show. I know a gardener about ten miles from here on clay, and she loses it every winter
