Looking at the blossoms and then to the right in the distance, the Vale of Blackmore and the Wiltshire Downs. See how dry the soil is? It looks like a desert. And they have just planted thousands of native hedgerow whips. Those that aren’t dragged out by the winds will die of thirst unless we get some rain. It was forecast today, but I think it’s all falling on Devon and Cornwall.
