Back garden

This was the final space to work on. It was done on a budget using fence plinths to make the retainers, these could be rendered or have creepers grown over them. I'm very proud of it as it was a difficult project being on a steep slope with a boggy area covering most of the land. There are lots of pots containing the more exotic so the theme can be changed if desired.

I think your project looks very professional - I have been looking for ages for a simple solution to a low wall and yours looks ideal - could you possibly say what materials you used to make the low "wall" and where you bought these ?

The low retaining walls are made out of concrete fence plinths and they are joined by concrete fence posts. They are one deep below the ground and you can use as many as you like above ground. If you want to disguise the fence plinths you could render it, and push in pebbles or tiles, or you could cover it with a layer of decorative bricks. We found it saved quite a lot of money. We got a labourer to do it, but i'm sure any building retail outlet would sell them or point you in the right direction.
Thank you for saying it look professional, i designed it myself on a budget.
