In the summer everyone walks outside in the balmy cool after the evening meal till very late at night- it's the local pastime!! You see separate congragations of elderly males and females, on little wicker work chairs in the corners and squares, chatting and putting the worlds to rights - the average age being about 85/90!
Then there is the young mothers brigade with their kids running around without a care in the world knowing they are safe (late at night), sharing and exchanging reports of the prowesses and exceptional abilities of their various offspring. Most of them are out of nappies at 6 months !!!
