My garden

This is a picture of my garden.
Before this was taken, the weeds were 8ft high and you could not see the fence!!! Aug 2007

So what did you do next, Richard? What did you plant in this 'blank canvas' - have you got any photos of work in progress? Would love to see them.

hi, thanks for the text.
Havent got any as yet, but will try and do a couple soon.
Its still very bare, but looks a lot better than what it did in august. The grass went and the path too.
Your garden looks magnificent and if mine was too look half as good then i would be very pleased.

Thanks very much ! I am forever working on it, never satisfied, as you will see from my blogs! If you have lots of bare space, why not grow some annuals as soon as the soil warms up a bit in the early spring - they give you very quick and cheap colour and satisfaction while you are planning the more permanent planting.

One great thing about this site Richard is the wealth of knowledge! If you need help with anything, someone always knows or will endeavour to find out for you. I too look at some (read most!!) of the other gardens on here and they are my inspiration! Take heart, it will all be worth it

When I moved here in 1984, there wasn't a lot in the garden (unless you count bindweed). I just developed it bit by bit, learning as I went and now it's open for charity each year. Good luck

Good luck, mine was just grass two years ago with some conifers down one side. A few plants at a time from friends and bargins at garden centre's.
Happy gardening.
