Thanks, Janette and Irish. After getting stung by a wasp earlier I was really leery about getting close for a macro shot. My camera looming over him didn't seem to bother him...lol.

the day I was stung I was working on the compost, behind the shed. There was a vine growing which had little yellow flowers on it and was like some kind of curcurbit...I gave it a yank and it came away from the fence hitting my right forearm as it did...It felt like an icepick! Ouch!...and the poor thing was hanging off my arm with most of it's stinger still embedded. .I got out of there quickly just in case he was one of many..that was the start of ten days of misery...(for me, the wasp died!)
