This is so true Marguerite! Jeff bought me two white phalaenopsis back in February and they bloomed for at least 6 to 7 months. The flowers finally died off, so I cut them back, just to where the spike was dry and I just noticed a few days ago that are new flower buds on the spikes that I trimmed. Most rewarding plants every!
