No longer in action, the dairy is a site for various biological studies through the fish and game and university.

This is also the established stopping grounds for geese and other migrants, rerouting them from the airport lakes where they were causing too much air commotion for the industry.

oh bother! those birds are not small, I can imagine the threat but it's sad that they lose their natural habitat to humanity. kinda like the wapiti and the pipeline!

Creamers field is just on the edge of town. It now houses the town bird observatory and they are the base of most planned activities. It is sad we had to move them, but it has made the migration more accessible to anyone wanting to watch.
