Look what happened when I threw all my old seeds in a bed! I'll harvest pumpkins and a little corn soon. I got a lot of radishes earlier. I let a few of them flower.

I bet I threw in about 15 packets. Hee. I've heard they don't last too long. Some of them were over 5 years old. Good turn out. Lucky.

Some are short lived, some really last forever. I saw a squash from a 3000 yr old seed once found in an archeological dig. It's rarity comes from the ease of cross pollination from pumpkin to squash so that one didn't exist anymore. never can tell. I had a rogue sweet pea bloom this year from a seed frozen in the soil over two winters outside!

Wow! I'd like a seed from that sweet pea. I haven't had any luck growing those.

I like all the helter skelter. Looks so lush. Great outcome for throwing out some seeds!
