2007 Cuttings going down.

The last few cutting that still haven't lost their leaves. They shouldn't be long now. Once they have gone down they should fit into the one greenhouse and then i can shut another greenhouse down for the winter. If they aren't too late going down it gives the plants more of a rest before starting them off again in 2008.

Nature is wonderful. Looking at these pictures now at everything going down for the winter - and then going into the greenhouse and everything is just starting to get going again, only just - no stems yet, but i can see them stirring back into life. I love this time of year!

This was a picture of the 2007 cuttings taken last year. The 2008 cuttings haven't reached this stage yet - their greenhouse is still at 52F to try and keep them going as long as possible, hopefully to get a reasonable sized tuber.
The other greenhouse with the main plants are now down to 40F and are going down, but they aren't as yellow as this picture, yet. However, a Begonia grower in Shrewsbury said that his have gone down, more or less now.
