Sunflower Offerings

These were the sunflowers at the base of the feeder. After they started falling over, I cut them and tied them to the feeder pole as an offering to the chickadees & finches. It only took a week for them to clean out every seed !

last year the finches ate the seeds clean out of my sunflower heads before I could even think of tieing up like that..it is a great idea though and may give it a shot if the little rascals don't find them first next year...!
