If I was planting a garden again, I wouldn't bother with this one. Although it flowers in winter, it's not a pretty shrub and I don't think it's worth it for the scent alone. A sarcococca is a much better bet

I have a winter-flowering Lonicera, two, in fact. I don't think it's this one. I don't dislike them, but they are a bit boring for most of the year apart from winter. I think they are L.fragrantissima. I never prune them hard enough! I always think that I have, but they grow so vigorously. I'll post a photo when I can, then we can compare varieties.
