Prickly pears -

Oh, I am sorry, I looked at the photos in the wrong order, It is a prckly pear.

LOL...guess I'm not the only one!!! Did you buy these at the market or are they from a local cactus? lol.

These were picked off Romeo's mum's cactus (BTW Terratoonie her real name is Ottavia) - she has some land and ALWAYS comes back with edible goodies for me .... such a lovely lady

They do look to be much riper than the ones on my plant Terry !

They do need lots of sunshine Amy to make them nice and juicy, that's why I was surprised you could grow them in UK -

I bought my plant over a year ago Terry , I suspect it came into the country like it is and hasn't ripened at all since , the new growth spurt is the only thing that has changed .....

I wonder if you could stick in front of one of those lamps they use for sunbathing ??? !!!!!
