Late-flowering shrub, up to five feet tall, for a sunny spot in well-drained but fertile soil. The leaves smell of mint when bruised. Prune hard in spring after all chance of frost has gone (I lost my previous plant when a late frost clobbered all the new growth). There is also a rare white-flowered form
