Not something I would like to sit next to! But you inspire me to photograph something I feature at my front door. It is a reptillian casting that literally has served to keep the Mormans and Jehova Witnesses from knocking on my door!

Good garden features can include the scary. Worse yet, when they sneek up on you. One of the people I work for, hid this HUGE ceramic frog (it is in a springing attack mode) under some shrubs. When I reached in and saw it, I freaked. He thought it was a grand joke.

Eleanore, a gardening friend has a good one. In her lawn, she has this segmented (three pieces so it is easy move) gray crocile. It is certainly a focal point!

i've seen the crocodiles and i've seen worm ones in three segments. i think there great.
this dragon is in someone elses garden and is hand carved from pembrokeshire stone.(like those at stonehenge).
here in autumn-fall when everything dies back its nice to see all the little statues and odd things around my garden.

Sandra

I totally agree about the last days of autumn. My chores are of spreading leaves, dumping manure all that mundane stuff. Therefore my crazy stories sometimes. Three at once even. All this is the mind dumbing work I hate. I actually look forward to next month, because I start my pruning rounds. As a peron who does Bonsai, I do this very well and with love and attention. Dec. usually is a good mental month for me. Not November. -- my birthday month.

actually it was today.

Thank you.

Even though Novemver is my birth month, it is one I least like. I am going to have to define that dislike sometime. In the Pacific Northwest, it is gray, dark dreary and ever moist. It may be fog, drizzle whatever. Drizzmal! I so much prefer the potential of Dec.-Feb. snow.

I may have to eat my words, because in some years, we have had three foot snowfalls in one night. That sort of makes your greenhouse roof unhappy.

Because of your dragon picture I took one of Jim's Korean Lion. It guards his home. I have worked for him for over a decade. Why did I never take a picture of it? Nor of his River Gods, that are now in ruin.

I am taking more pictures again, and better yet filing them! :-) So many found memories hiding in boxes in the barn.
