Wild mushrooms are so appealing :)

Neat shot, I'm used to seeing the moss and mushrooms growing in shady parts of the yard, we don't get enough regular rainfall here for the lovely green moss to grow on the trees stumps.

Yes...what a great shot of the mushrooms growing with the moss!! beautiful!
Moss can be a challenge to grow, getting it established seems to be the trick...once you have it happy it will spread it's luxuriance. must have just the right low pH, the right moisture and bright light...not direct sun. I'm working on a mossy path...but had to cheat a little by using sagina. It is starting to fill in and looks perfect to me.

Hi Lori, think we take the moss for granted here, I have lots of it. Hopefully this helps the birds when building their nests. I believe its protected by the Wildlife Trust in the UK.

interesting that it's protected...always hear lawn enthusiasts trying to rid their patch of moss. personally, I wouldn't mind a moss lawn...need really deep shade for that...and I like to grow the flowers so...I just settle for putting it in a special spot and trying to keep it happy!.
