Clematis Niobe

20 year old Niobe is looking great for her age....
Though her wrinkles are evident as she starts to bloom *grin* lol
Though once She spreads her velvety petals open, she is a sight worth seeing.
So sad, that she has no scent ; I could only imagine, the sweet luxurious perfume...ahhhhhhh

HISTORY

I bought this Clematis 'Niobe' some 20 years ago...
Her first home ; A belfast sink in a breezy place...
The setting was wrong....
The sun never shined upon her ; She grew in total shade

I moved house and she came with me.....

No gardening knowledge, to plant her, where the sun shined

She took pride of place, in my front garden...
Once again in the shade...
Still ; She survived

Another house move, was on the cards....
This time, with greener fingers, i chose the setting right...
For her my beautiful Niobe... She is a wonderous sight.
