I told Jacque that I would post a photo of all the pots - my husband says it's going to be 'the year of the Lily' - he's not wrong, is he? There are 21 pots...

Umm. 'Dizzy', 'Stargazer', a pink one, more whose names escape me, and 4 packs of new ones - 10 per pack - 'Nerone', (almost black), 'Netty's Pride' (purple/white), 'Centrefold' (white with purple middle) and Vermeer' - (two shades of pink). I shall be sinking some pots into the ground to fill spaces when the garden is open!!!!

I have taken some out of their pots and planted them this year. Hopefully they will flourish.

One of the reasons that I decided to plant all my new Lilies in pots was the difficulty I had this year with Lily beetles. The Lilies planted in the border had the red perils on them - but I swear they could hear me coming carefully into the border to 'get' them - so they dropped off and of course I couldn't find them to 'squish' them. So I'm hoping that having the Lilies in pots will help me to get squishing more easily. Fiendish plan, or what?
I haven't dug up the ones in the borders. I didn't want to damage them accidentally.

I had quite a few visits from lily beetles over the year. It started with my snakes head frittilaries, then my lilies in pots and borders. Squished absoloutly loads.
Its as if your whole garden is infested with "naughty and nice". So many things that are good and you want to visit then there are all the bad that you dont want any visits from.

I love lillies - I've always found they do far better in pots than in the garden. Good luck with these :-)
