This sea lion had some kind of ID # on him...looked a little inhumane to me.

I thought that maybe it was branded too, Irish :( I know that IDing animals is usually done for a benificial purpose, but this just looks bad and mean. I'll have to do some investigating and see what this is about. Also on a neaby beach there were 3 dead adult sea lions and a pup all in close proximity washed up on the beach. That was strange and sad to see. Perhaps they were a family attacked by a shark or killer whale... They were pretty much intact though. It's not that out of the ordinary to see one that's died washed up on the beach, but 4... :((((
