Not for Muscari, they seem to pop up really early. Yes, my snowdrops are poking through - only just to be seen - but visible. The Honeysuckle usually starts flowering before all the leaves drop off. I have two of them and one usually keeps some of its leaves. I never prune them hard enough - I always think I have, but they grow out again so quickly. Next spring I shall have to be really NASTY to them!

Amy, what IS your Azalea up to? I suspect that the first frost will 'burn' the flowers, sadly.
My Honeysuckle shrubs are winter-flowerers. As Arlene says, they are fragrant.

Well - Pottygardener, its latin name is 'Lonicera fragantissima' and it does have a lovely scent, It flowers from now onwards into early spring. Lovely shrub to have in the garden. It doesn't look like a Honeysuckle to me, but it is!

Gosh Spritz, I have a job remembering common names and you know the Latin ones as well!
Thank you for the info. on this, and on my plants I couldn't remember!

You're welcome, Pg. I do try to keep my brain ticking over by learning the latin names of any new plants I get. I don't always succeed, though!
