growing up a drainpipe - lives outside all year , even in temperatures down to -7C . Leaves fall in winter, seeds ripen late autumn. Very irritant sap. Also called the 'Cruel Plant' on account of its habit of catching moths by their proboscis in the evening, and not releasing them - unharmed- until the next morning. Masses of small slightly scented flowers. Often seen in Spanish hedgerows in the Ebro delta area.

The flowers are white, about 3cm long. Masses of them as you can see. I've just loaded a photo of its seed pod.
